It all started in a small workshop in Italy over 60 years ago, where Luigi Giottos first began handcrafting leather camera bags. Luigi was devoted to his craft and obsessed with improving his designs. He collaborated closely with local photographers to create bags that perfectly suited their needs out in the field.
Word spread quickly about Luigi’s excellent craftsmanship and practical designs. Before long, he was receiving orders from professional photographers across Europe. As demand grew, the company expanded into a factory, bringing Luigi’s original leather designs to a wider market.
In the 1980s, Luigi’s sons Mario and Marco took over the business. They modernized operations and expanded the product line to keep pace with advancements in photography. New accessories were introduced, including tripods, light stands, monopods, heads and innovative storage solutions.
Each new product was carefully conceived to solve a real need for photographers. The Giottos brand became known for its meticulously designed accessories with clever functional details. Photographers could trust Giottos gear to perform reliably shot after shot in even the most demanding conditions.
